"What is a Virtual Number?

A Virtual Number is a local telephone number obtainable in most cities world wide that connects directly to your home or office Netphone, regular phone or mobile phone no matter where you are located worldwide.

A local presence wherever you want to do business:  With a Virtual Number a local office telephone number can be created in any city or country where you wish to do business. Your customers in that city can contact you for the cost of a local call - the call rings your office, whether you are in a nearby city or on the other side of the world!

For overseas family and friends:  Your long distance family and friends can contact you on your local Virtual Number - If you live in Sydney and have family or friends in London, you can obtain a Virtual Number with a London area code.  Friends and family can call your London Virtual Number and talk as long as they wish at the cost of a local London call -- even though they are speaking to you in Sydney!

Incoming calls to Virtual Numbers are instantly connected to the internet and forwarded directly to your designated phone anywhere in the world.

What do I need?

Equipment required will depend upon how you wish to receive calls from your Virtual Number. There are three options for receiving calls:

Option 1:

Download our free Softphone and obtain a calling account. A PC with a broadband Internet connection is required. Virtual Number calls are forwarded to your PC softphone.


 
Option 2:

Purchase a specialized Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone handset or adapter to make and receive calls directly through your broadband modem. A broadband connection is required.



Option 3:

Calls can be forwarded directly from your Virtual Number to a standard telecom phone or mobile number at reduced toll rates with no requirement of equipment purchase, broadband connection or PC. Free network calls are not available with this option
