How to Connect To Free World Dialup with IAX

Log into your AMP web interface
Click on Trunks
Click on Add IAX Trunks

Under 'Outgoing Settings':
Enter the dial prefix you want to use to access FWD
Don't click on 'Default Trunk' - it'll send all calls out FWD (unless that's what you want it to do)

Give your trunk a name

In the PEER Details box, enter this info (customize as necessary - FWD phone number where '12345' is and your password where 'secretpassword' is)

allow=ulaw
auth=md5
callerid="You"‹12345›
disallow=all
host=iax2.fwdnet.net
qualify=yes
secret=secretpassword
type=peer
username=12345

Under 'Incoming Settings':
In the User Context box, enter: iaxfwd

In the User Details box, enter this info (customize as necessary)

allow=ulaw
auth=rsa
context=from-pstn
disallow=all
inkeys=freeworlddialup
secret=secretpassword
type=user

In the registration string at the bottom, change to your FWD number and password:

12345:secretpassword@iax2.fwdnet.net

Click on the Submit Changes button

That it for the IAX settings, now add a DID to route the call to where you'd like.

Click on DID Routes link at the top left of the AMP GUI
In the DID number box, enter your FWD phone number
Use the 'Use Incoming Calls Settings' button, unless you'd like to route the FWD calls differently.

Click the Submit Button
Click the red line that says:
You have made changes - when finished, click here to APPLY them.

Now, you 'should' be able to make and receive FWD calls.

To try some outgoing calls, enter your FWD prefix you set in one of the first steps above, then try some of these numbers:

613 for an echo tester (you talk and you hear yourself)
55555 to reach the welcome line volunteer staff
10001 for the FWD answering machine
612 to hear the Time
411 for 'Tellme' Information, (news, weather, sports, etc)
611 for technical support (limited availability)

To test receiving calls, go to this link:
http://www.freeworlddialup.com/advanced/iax
Near the bottom, you will have to hunt for a link on the 2nd to last question "Call Me" - click there, on the next page enter your FWD number and password and wait for a call.
